Hi my name is Ian and I'll be majoring in English and New Media Studies.
As for my draft, I am considering the comic book, Hellblazer.
Hellblazer a.k.a John Constantine (in the picture above), anti-hero, magician, occult detective, con-man as well chain smoker is the protagonist of the comic. In the comic, John plays a roguish antihero trying to do some good in his life.
My attempt to this will be set in the future where John is around the age of 70, retired, still living alone, bitter as well as trying to search for happiness in his life as he finds out not too long ago, that he has cancer. Suddenly one day he get's a knock on the door and an adolescent male, blonde hair, green eyes and built stature telling John that he is his son.
John shocked, slowly gathers vague visual cues from memory and finally admits to his doing. His son, Javier, tells John that he would want to pick off from where John left and continue his legacy but only if John were to guide him. Reluctant initially, John accepts and tells Javier that he must never make the same mistakes as he did.
As far as this goes, this is my draft and I shall look more closely into a concept similar to this.

I've always loved the 'anti-hero' archetype...so this one changes his ways??
